Flood Restoration Kitchen Remodel in Plano, Texas

After flood damage from an upstairs bathroom disrupted daily life, our clients chose to turn an unexpected challenge into an opportunity for meaningful improvement. What began as restoration evolved into a full kitchen remodel designed to better support how they live, cook, and gather. Midway through the process, they partnered with Mae Reedy Build + Design, trusting our Plano-based design-build team to take over construction and thoughtfully bring their vision to life.

While the original kitchen maintained a similar footprint, several elements were no longer functional. An unused desk area, an undersized island, and visible countertop appliances created inefficiencies. We reimagined the space with custom solutions, including a dedicated baking nook, a tailored appliance garage, and an expanded island with custom pullouts for storage, baking tools, and everyday essentials. The finished kitchen feels light, efficient, and intentionally designed for real life—making the final reveal both meaningful and memorable.
