The clients came to us with a jack and jill bathroom that wasn’t serving either of their children well. Their daughter and older son were at very different stages of life, and the room they shared every morning was builder-grade, short on personality, and already showing moisture damage from poor ventilation. This jack and jill bathroom remodel had one goal: a space that could hold both kids equally, one that wouldn’t feel too young for their son or too grown-up for their daughter, and one that could carry them through the teenage years without being redone.

We took a contemporary approach with quiet color, layered texture, and materials built to hold up to real family life. The existing tub was underused and taking up valuable footprint, so we converted it into a spacious walk-in shower with dual niches and a circular window that became the room’s focal point. Playful but sophisticated tile, updated lighting, improved ventilation, and fresh finishes throughout gave the bathroom a fresh start.

What was once the most overlooked room in the house is now a space both siblings can grow into. It’s practical for now and ready for later, and it feels like theirs.
