My own personal bedroom and bath are a testament to how far I can stretch a dollar! When I design for my clients I have the same desire to preserve what we can, and focus the budget on some fun elements. For me, I wanted to incorporate my love for midcentury design in a way that honored my colonial style home. ​I was able to blend these style by utilizing a traditional color palette and traditional materials in a modern way. We saved by keeping the floor plan and cabinets. The shower surround is so midcentury while the plumbing is very Victorian. Something old, something new, something blue.
