Legacy Loft Outdoor
The outdoor addition wasn’t just about square footage. It was about how this new second story would meet the sky, hold the light, and sit above the pool without ever feeling imposed on the original home. The structure had to carry a full apartment above a rebuilt garage while still reading as part of the house it grew from, not an add-on stacked on top. That meant considered rooflines, thoughtful proportions, and a private balcony positioned to give the grandparents a quiet view of the pool and the family life happening below.
From the outside, the addition tells the story of what happens inside. Two generations, one home, room for everyone to breathe. The balcony gives the upstairs apartment its own connection to the outdoors, the ground level ties cleanly back into the existing footprint, and the whole structure sits on the property like it was always meant to be there. What could have looked like an obvious addition instead feels like the house finally finished becoming itself.
