The upstairs primary bath had a delicate assignment: support the grandparents’ independence without ever announcing that it was doing so. Because the grandfather lives with Multiple Sclerosis, ADA compliance shaped the layout from the ground up, but the design language stayed firmly transitional, warm neutrals, clean lines, layered lighting, and materials chosen for both beauty and long-term durability. Everything needed to move through a morning safely and comfortably is right where it should be, integrated so naturally into the architecture that most guests would never notice the accessibility features at all. The result is a bathroom that feels like a quiet retreat, not an accommodation.
