Made For Mom Laundry Room
The laundry room had become the room everyone apologized for, not because the homeowners were disorganized, but because the space had never been designed around the way they actually lived. Cabinetry that stopped short of the ceiling, shelves too shallow for a detergent bottle, a sink that collected bags instead of water, a makeshift drying rod, and a standalone freezer eating square footage that should have made this feel like a mudroom. We started by asking what the family actually needed from this room every single day and designed backward from that answer. The freezer moved to the garage, the sink came out, cabinetry went floor to ceiling with interiors built around real products and real routines, and a proper drying solution replaced the improvised one. The result is a hardworking utility space that finally does what it was always supposed to, and feels like it was made for the person who uses it most.
Shop the look from this laundry room transformation, designed in a Traditional and Transitional style.
