When our clients reached out, they described their kitchen as the saddest part of their home—an unfortunate label for a space where they spent so much time cooking and meal prepping. With flooring they loved and needed to keep, the challenge was clear: deliver a complete transformation without changing the footprint. We reimagined the existing layout with clever problem-solving, converting a rarely-used double oven into a beautifully integrated pantry and upgrading the drop-in cooktop to a sleek slide-in range—all while preserving the original floor tile. Functionality took center stage with smarter cabinetry and storage to match their cooking habits. But the real magic came in the palette: a calming, biophilic green for the cabinets, perfectly paired with a carefully sourced backsplash and countertop combination that honored the warmth of the existing floors. The result is a kitchen that finally feels as good as it functions—grounded, joyful, and made for real life.
